What we've done lately:
November 2014
Participated in Huggins Elementary Fall Carnival
October 2014
Directed parking for the training run for Conoco Phillips MS150 team.
Participated in our zone project, raising the roof for Hoof Prints and Heart Beats. Over $18K was raised to help this great cause.
September 2014 - worked at the Fort Bend County Fair Lion's Hamburger Booth.
April 2014 - Fulshear-Simonton Lions Charity Motorcycle Run. All proceeds of the Run were donated to Bikers Against Child Abuse and the Fort Bend Womens Shelter.
March 2014 - White Cane day. We collected over $1,000 from a very generous Fulshear community. The money has been given to the Texas Eye Bank .
In addition, we have:
Collected over 800 pair of eyeglasses for recycling
Sponsored a child for Texas Lions Camp
and for our Senior Programs:
Provide monthly blood pressure and diabetes screenings
Support weekly craft projects and monthly birthday celebrations
Home repairs
Delivered holiday flowers and over 200 meals to area home-bound seniors
Volunteered hours for AARP Tax Aide
and for our Children's Programs:
Donated back-to-school supplies
Peace Poster Contest for Junior High aged kids
Eye exams and glasses program for Huggins elementary students in need
