Wetlands ADA-accessible Boardwalk Project

Williams Prairie is an 11-acre remnant coastal prairie located just north of Fulshear at Hwy 359 and Hepplewhite Dr

Coastal Prairie Conservancy and the Fulshear Simonton Lions Club

Williams Prairie has been protected by the Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC) since 1997. Features of this significant 11-acre remnant coastal prairie include: a wetland area that filters runoff and provide wildlife habitat, native tall grass prairie species and over 305 species of flora and fauna.

Fulshear Simonton Lions Club has partnered with CPC to complete construction and installation of 100 ft ADA-accessible wetlands boardwalk and platform. The Club was awarded a grant by the Texas Lions Foundation to support CPC's construction of ADA pathway which broke ground in December 2025. We are proud to be part of this partnership in bringing public access to this unique piece of preserved prairie in the Fulshear area.
