Wetlands ADA-accessible Boardwalk Project

Coastal Prairie Conservancy and the Fulshear Simonton Lions Club

Williams Prairie has been protected by the Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC) since 1997.   Features of this significant 11-acre remnant coastal prairie include:  a wetland area that filters runoff and provide wildlife habitat, native tall grass prairie species and over 305 species of flora and fauna.

Fulshear Simonton Lions Club has partnered with CPC on the construction and installation of 80 ft ADA-accessible wetlands boardwalk with plans to complete a wetlands platform area in 2025.  On August 1st, the Club was awarded a grant by the Texas Lions Foundation to support CPC's construction of ADA concrete pathway.
